School Photography- Yearbook Photos
Earlier this year I asked on my Facebook page whether people liked the traditional school photos still. A lot of people said they would like an alternative to the normal ones that are taken. I really would love to able to offer natural, in class photos to show real school life.
So I was thrilled when I was asked if I would like to take the Year 6 yearbook photos at our son’s school. Of course I said YES!! Especially as it’s our son’s year, and he is about to leave primary school.
It is a crazy time at schools leading up to the summer holidays. Always so much going on but I found a window in their busy schedule (in between various sports day practices) where I could go in and take photographs.
It was so wonderful to be in their classrooms. To see them sitting in their groups, discussing and working out what they should be doing. Being a fly on the wall, when us parents never get to see what goes on in their days normally.
A lot of these children I have known since they were 3 or 4 years of age, so it was a joy to capture them all.
As well as photos of them working I captured them individually. So relaxed and an absolute pleasure to do.
What do you think about in class photos as opposed to the normal school photos? Which do you prefer?
