The last few years we have had our summer holiday with family in Cornwall.
At the beginning of August we headed down for our annual visit, which included little man’s birthday too this year (extra exciting for him!). So many beautiful places to explore, and luckily for us the majority of the time the weather was on our side. A few windy days and rain showers but it wouldn’t be the UK without them!
Padstow is definitely our favourite place. We really enjoyed visiting the Padstow museum this time. It was so special to see the history of this beautiful Cornish fishing port and all of the traditions of May Day. The children loved seeing all of the historical photos and artefacts that the museum had. Plus entry is free, but donations are very welcome!
There are so many wonderful places to go and visit when in the area. This year we had a lot of beach days- exploring rock pools, searching for sea glass, surfing and of course eating pasties!
Roll on next year. We just adore Cornwall and the memories it makes for us. The boys are excited to do more surfing and want me to go in the sea too. We will see how brave I’m feeling when the time comes!
